About Stroud Face to Face and Online Singing Lessons:
“When teaching adults and teenagers, one often engages in an exploration of the core
elements of vocal technique, especially breathing, which is one of the core elements.
Sometimes a lot of work is needed to help singers get inside a song and/or improve their musicianship.
I've also worked a lot with transforming performance anxiety and have helped many very shy singers, both
adults & children, find their voice & gain in confidence.
I have also helped ‘Uncertain Singers’ with the transformation of their ‘pitchmatch’
challenges.
Singing with younger children is a completely different journey. Here there will be no direct mentioning
to the body as part of the instrument of the voice. The children will learn through imagination, fantasy,
voice games, stories, movement and imitation. It is important to teach children singing so that it is
linked to their vocal and musical development.”

without making me feel judged.
She encourages me to make the best of my own voice and talents - high mezzo-soprano,
post grade eight, focused on folk and traditional music - rather than trying to push me in directions which do not suit me.
